Fees & Funding

The fees per term are as follows:

£3,261.16 per term 

£978.35 per month (paid over 10 months)

Fees are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Early Years Funding

Parents could save as much as £5,800 per year on fees with the early year funding. To check your eligibility and apply online, www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. Please contact the school office for more details.

Early Birds:

7.30am to 9.00am inc. light breakfast

£6.90 per session

After School Club:

After school to 6.00pm inc. light tea.

£9.15 per session

Holiday Club:

7.30am to 6.00pm a light breakfast will be provided before 8.15am. You will need to provide a packed lunch for your child when attending holiday club. £28.75 per day

Notes on Fees

  1. All Fees are per week unless otherwise stated.
  2. Rates for more complex places are available  upon request.
  3. Chargeable extras are fully explained in our  Chargeable Extras Policy, which you received  upon admission to the nursery. It is also   available by request from the office.
  4. Only one type of place can be taken, different  places cannot be mixed.
  5. The full time place may be taken as term time  subject to availability. No other places can be  taken as term time.
  6. Children become eligible to receive the grant  from the term after which they turn 9 months  old. Parents must apply for the grant with the  government and complete the grant form provided by the nursery with their eligibility information for us to claim the grant.
  7. If you are not eligible for the 30 hours grant,  then you will automatically receive 15 hours  universal grant the term after which your child  turns 3 years old.
  8. 30 hours free childcare as provided by the  government for 38 weeks of the year (means  tested). This is stretched over the 50 weeks the  nursery is open and so provides 22.8 hours per  week. Except for the term time place which is  not stretched and so is 30 hours per week. This  is 11.4 hours per week for the 15-hour grant  when stretched over the 50 weeks.

Chargeable Extras for Grant Places 

At Clarendon Cottage School we strive to deliver high  quality childcare filled with enriching educational  experiences and enhancements, whether that be in a  child’s funded time with us or during any privately  paid hours. Section A1.32 oF Department of  Education Statutory guidance specifically states that  in all instances “Government funding is not intended  to cover costs of meals, other consumables,  additional hours or additional services”. A1.33 further  states that charges can be made for the following  extras in connection with the hours; consumables to  be used by the child, meals and snacks, extra  optional activities such as events, celebrations,  specialist tuition or other activities not directly related  or necessary for the effective delivery of the EYFS statutory framework.

As such the nursery makes the following charges for  the funded hours (22.8 hrs per week for an all-year round place or 30 hours per week for a term time  place, 11.4 per week for a 15-hour place). These  charges are already included in the weekly total.

  • Food £9.00 per day (includes breakfast,  snack, lunch and light tea)
  • Extra Curricular Activities £2.50 per day  (includes Jo Jingles, Lingotots, Gym Club) • Additional Services £2.50 per day
  • Total chargeable extras £14.00 per day for  grant funded days
