PTFA Annual Fundraiser Inspires a Day of STEAM Learning and Fun

Posted: 22nd May 2026

Our school community came together for a truly fantastic day at this year’s PTFA Annual Fundraising Event, with all proceeds dedicated to enhancing our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) resources and opportunities for pupils.

The children enthusiastically embraced a wide range of exciting STEAM-themed challenges throughout the day. Activities included designing and constructing cable cars and pulley systems with Mr Smith, boat-building challenges, testing their knowledge and problem-solving skills in Miss Ford’s “1% Club”, unleashing their creativity during Art Attack, and tackling Mrs Moore’s popular LOGO Challenge.

The event perfectly combined hands-on learning, teamwork and creativity, encouraging pupils to explore key STEAM concepts in an engaging and enjoyable way.

As always, one of the highlights of the day was the much-loved water maze. With glorious sunshine overhead, the sounds of laughter, excitement and delight echoed across the school grounds as children navigated the challenge and, inevitably, got thoroughly soaked. It was a memorable way to round off an exceptional day.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mrs Moore for organising such a wonderful event. Her dedication, enthusiasm and hard work ensured a successful day for everyone involved.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to our families for their generous sponsorship and fundraising support. Your contributions will help us continue to develop and enrich our STEAM provision for all pupils. We look forward to sharing the fundraising total with our community very soon.

We hope you enjoy viewing the photographs from the day. Additional images of each year group are available for families to view on Tapestry.
