Four of our Prep 7 pupils recently represented Clarendon at the annual Mathemagician Challenge hosted by St Bede’s, enjoying a highly rewarding and memorable day of mathematical problem-solving and competition.
Competing alongside teams from five other preparatory schools, our pupils demonstrated excellent determination, teamwork and resilience as they tackled a series of challenging mathematical rounds. The competition encouraged participants to think critically and apply their mathematical knowledge to increasingly complex problems, many of which extended well beyond the Year 5 curriculum and into High School-level mathematics.
We are delighted to share that the team achieved success in two of the eight competition rounds, a fantastic accomplishment given the high standard of the event and the calibre of the young mathematicians taking part.
The experience provided an excellent opportunity for our pupils to challenge themselves, develop their confidence and enjoy mathematics in a stimulating and collaborative environment.
We would like to thank St Bede’s for hosting such a wonderful event and congratulate all of the schools who participated. Most importantly, we are incredibly proud of our pupils for the enthusiasm, perseverance and positive attitude they displayed throughout the day.
