Prep 4 pupils had a fantastic time this week as they took part in an exciting Design and Technology food project focused on creating healthy ice lollies.
As part of the project, the children began by researching different ingredients and exploring how healthy ice lollies can be made. They considered flavour combinations, nutritional value and presentation before putting their creativity to work and designing their own unique recipes.
Once their plans were complete, the pupils enjoyed the practical element of the project, carefully preparing their ingredients and creating their own healthy ice lollies. The activity provided an excellent opportunity to develop key Design and Technology skills, while encouraging independent thinking and healthy lifestyle choices.
The highlight of the project was, of course, tasting the finished products. With the sunshine making a welcome appearance, the children took their creations outside and enjoyed sampling their homemade ice lollies together.
It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm, creativity and pride in their work, and the project proved to be a delicious success from start to finish.
