Community and Social Achievement It is very important to develop confidence and social skills. Children are encouraged to play a positive role in the school community and learn to help and respect others and their feelings. The undertaking of community responsibilities, such as being a playground buddy or prefect, helping on the school council or being a monitor is encouraged. Community achievement is recognised, praised and is formally rewarded using the school house system as well as merit certificates and badges. School assemblies celebrate all achievements and regular class assemblies share community issues and new learning, often through drama and music.
