Applying for a school place CHILDREN ALREADY IN NURSERY SCHOOL:  Children already attending and who will be 4 years of age before 31 st   August will be given priority in the allocation of Prep 2 places subject to the rules set out below. We will advise you of the application procedure in the Autumn term preceding your child’s entry into Prep 2. An open evening will be held during this term and this is a good opportunity to find out more about the school. If you want your child to be considered for Prep 2 entry then you must fill in and return a Prep School Application Form, which is available from the school office. (Note: you may return a completed Prep School application form at any time earlier in the year or even in an earlier year if you wish). Once in receipt of your application, an offer letter will be sent and you will have a fixed period of time in which to accept the place. Acceptance of a place is achieved by paying a place deposit of £100 to the school. A place will only be reserved upon receipt of a full place deposit which is redeemable against the first term's fees but not refundable in the event of the place not being taken. Subsequent to this any remaining Prep 2 places will made equally available outside the school and will be filled on a first come, first served basis until the class is full. CHILDREN NOT ALREADY AT THE SCHOOL You may apply at any time for entry into any school year up to the age of 11 years old. Normally you will wish to come and have a look around the school and this is done by making an appointment with the Head of the Prep, who will be pleased to show you around school and answer all your questions. If you like the school and you want a place, you must apply by returning a completed application form. Once we have this we will then contact you to arrange a time when you could bring your child into school so that we may meet them. We will want to assess your child’s progress in an informal way and the outcome of these meetings is usually very positive. If we are able to offer your child a place then we will inform you of this in writing. You must then accept this offer, within a specific time, by returning a place deposit of £250.00, which is redeemable against the first term's fees but not refundable in the event of the place not being taken.
